Vicky Ghionis was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She holds degrees in Finance and Criminology from the University of Melbourne. She is bilingual and started working as a freelance translator in 2000, around the time she moved to Greece. She became well-established in the Greek translation community and her direct clients included major Greek banks and hospital groups, the European Central Bank and agencies across the globe. From 2004 to 2016 she also taught translation at a private translation school in Athens.
Around 2012, she started getting into digital copywriting and worked on various projects, including the Piraeus Bank and Eurobank websites as an external associate, polishing her skills on the way to becoming a seasoned content strategist. In 2021, along with Georgia Kokkinou, she founded Red Owl, a boutique content strategy agency specializing in content strategy, digital and UX copywriting, on-page SEO and GEO practices, and content localization. Their clients include Alpha Bank, Eurobank, PPC (DEI), Lamda Development, Edenred and many more.
